Morikaze Cafe

Morikaze is a famous nature school especially known for its ecological and environmental education programmes. Located in Kuzumaki, they've been featured in magazines and people have come from all over Japan and the world to visit. In addition to the school, they also have a cafe that stays open to the public. A friend took me there for lunch this past weekend.

Morikaze Cafe - Homegrown food in a homegrown building

Furniture built from scratch

Outdoor barbecue area

The whole place was cool but this was my favorite part

  1. looks quaint and homegrown food... this could reduce my obsessively high grocery bill!i totally want to live there! do they take lodgers?

  2. Yum! Reminds me of a cafe Jane and I went to in Bali, nestled smack dap in the rice fields. It looks like you're having a blast!

  3. It was delicious! If I lived closer, this would definitely be a regular spot for me.

@Ryan, these kinda places--wherever they may be--are the best, ya know? Off the beaten path but no less amazing and dedicated to what they do

  4. I hope you will keep on posting more things about Japan. Japanese are famous for their hospitality, isn't it?
I love the blog, one reason is my best friend is from Japan and she's in there.....
    Best wishes from Nina @
